Pristina, March 6, 2025 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) successfully distributed 1,000 food baskets on Wednesday across the cities of Lipjan, Shtime, Malisheva, and Rahovec in the Republic of Kosovo. The initiative, which benefited 5,000 individuals from 1,000 families, is part of the larger “Etaam” Ramadan Food Basket Project. This project is carried out in collaboration with the Islamic Community of Kosovo and aims to provide essential food supplies to vulnerable populations during the holy month of Ramadan.
Each food basket, which weighs 51 kilograms, contains vital staple items such as rice, oil, pasta, sugar, and flour – all essential ingredients for preparing nutritious meals. The project has set a target of distributing a total of 8,110 food baskets, with the overall initiative benefiting 40,550 individuals across 30 municipalities in Kosovo. This distribution effort is designed to address the pressing need for food security in the region, particularly during the Ramadan period when families are fasting and require access to adequate sustenance.
The “Etaam” Ramadan Food Basket Project reflects Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to humanitarian aid and relief efforts worldwide, particularly in countries facing critical food insecurity. Through KSrelief, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is providing vital support to those in need, with the aim of alleviating suffering and improving the well-being of communities affected by economic hardship, conflict, or displacement.

The collaboration with the Islamic Community of Kosovo further underscores the importance of partnerships in achieving the objectives of humanitarian relief, reinforcing global solidarity in addressing food insecurity during challenging times.
By providing food assistance, KSrelief aims to ease the burden on struggling families, contributing to social stability and well-being while fostering cooperation between Saudi Arabia and international partners. The project also highlights Saudi Arabia’s role as a key player in the global humanitarian landscape, committed to supporting those in need and upholding the values of compassion and solidarity.
