KSrelief distributed 1,082 purchase vouchers to families in Palestinian refugee camps across Jordan's governorates of Amman, Zarqa, and Balqa, allowing beneficiaries to select winter clothing.

Amman, January 11, 2025 – In a continued effort to alleviate the hardships faced by vulnerable communities during the winter season, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed 1,082 purchase vouchers on January 10, 2025, to families in need across Jordan. These vouchers allow beneficiaries to select winter clothing from designated stores in the country’s Palestinian refugee camps, particularly in the governorates of Amman, Zarqa, and Balqa.

The distribution is part of the third phase of the Winter Clothing Distribution Project, also known as Kanaf, which has been designed to support those struggling with the harsh winter conditions in Jordan. The Kanaf initiative is aimed at providing immediate relief to displaced and refugee families, offering them the ability to choose clothing suited to their needs, ensuring both warmth and dignity during the cold months.

This humanitarian effort underscores Saudi Arabia's ongoing commitment to supporting the Palestinian refugee population in Jordan, in line with the Kingdom’s broader mission to provide essential aid and relief to communities in crisis. Through KSrelief, Saudi Arabia has been able to address the urgent needs of those affected by severe winter weather, focusing on families most at risk due to their vulnerable living conditions.

The third phase of the Kanaf project highlights KSrelief's strategic approach to sustainable and impactful aid, not only by providing immediate winter relief but also by empowering beneficiaries with the freedom to select items that best suit their individual needs. The initiative is a reflection of Saudi Arabia’s long-standing humanitarian efforts and its dedication to easing the suffering of those affected by the challenges of displacement and seasonal hardships.

KSrelief’s ongoing support for the Palestinian refugee population in Jordan demonstrates the Kingdom’s deep sense of responsibility towards its Arab neighbors, reinforcing its role as a leading humanitarian actor in the region. Through initiatives like Kanaf, KSrelief continues to provide vital assistance, fostering resilience and offering hope to those most in need.
