
Mogadishu, March 13, 2025 — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continued its vital support for vulnerable communities by distributing 1,110 food baskets to families in the Sool and Sanaag regions of Somalia on Wednesday, directly benefiting 6,660 individuals. This distribution is part of the broader Etaam Ramadan Food Basket Project for 1446 AH, a humanitarian initiative launched by KSrelief to provide essential food aid to those in need during the holy month of Ramadan.
The initiative is now in its fourth phase, with plans to distribute a total of 390,109 food baskets across 27 countries throughout Ramadan. This ambitious project aims to benefit over 2.3 million individuals globally and is estimated to cost more than SAR 67.06 million. The food baskets contain basic staples, providing families with the essential nutritional support needed to observe Ramadan and improve their living conditions during this critical period.
KSrelief’s ongoing efforts are a part of Saudi Arabia’s broader commitment to humanitarian assistance and relief, particularly in regions experiencing crises and hardships. By focusing on providing immediate relief, KSrelief seeks to alleviate the suffering of those affected by poverty, displacement, and conflict, contributing to long-term recovery and stability.
