Kassala, Sudan, December 15, 2024 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to alleviating the suffering of displaced communities by distributing 1,200 food baskets to the most vulnerable families in Kassala State, located in eastern Sudan. This distribution, which took place as part of the third phase of the Food Security Support Project for 2024, provided critical food assistance to those struggling amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the country.
Between November 2024 and December 2024, KSrelief’s initiative benefited 7,200 individuals across 1,200 families. Each family received a food basket containing essential items such as rice, flour, sugar, lentils, and oil, which are crucial for meeting the immediate nutritional needs of displaced persons who have been severely affected by the conflict and instability in Sudan.
This distribution is part of a larger, continuous effort by KSrelief to support vulnerable populations in Sudan, which has been grappling with an escalating humanitarian crisis. The ongoing conflict in Sudan has displaced millions, and many families are struggling to meet even their most basic needs, including access to food and clean water. KSrelief’s Food Security Support Project aims to mitigate these challenges by providing life-saving aid to those most in need, while also helping to enhance food security across the region.
KSrelief, a key arm of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian initiatives, remains dedicated to supporting Sudanese people by offering essential relief aid.
