KSrelief distributed 1,300 food baskets to displaced families in Kassala State, Sudan, benefiting approximately 7,800 individuals as part of the third phase of its food security support project in 2024.

Kassala, December 18, 2024 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continued its vital support for displaced families in Sudan by distributing 1,300 food baskets in Kassala State, located in eastern Sudan. The food aid, which reached 1,300 families, directly benefited approximately 7,800 individuals, providing them with essential sustenance amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region.


This distribution marks the third phase of KSrelief's food security support project in Sudan for the year 2024, demonstrating the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to alleviating the suffering of the Sudanese people. The initiative aims to support vulnerable communities, particularly displaced families who are enduring the hardships of conflict and instability.


The food baskets contain vital nutritional items, including grains, pulses, and cooking oil, designed to meet the basic dietary needs of families facing extreme challenges due to the ongoing humanitarian situation in Sudan.
