Idlib, December 29, 2024 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully distributed 747 food baskets and 747 hygiene kits to Syrian families in Al-Dana, a city in the Idlib governorate in northern Syria. This vital aid, benefiting a total of 4,482 people, is part of the second phase of KSrelief's ongoing humanitarian project aimed at providing assistance to families severely affected by the recent earthquake that struck northern Syria.
The distribution effort is a direct response to the urgent needs of the affected communities, who continue to struggle against the devastating consequences of the disaster. The food baskets contain essential goods, while the hygiene kits are designed to help improve the living conditions of vulnerable families, particularly in terms of sanitation and health. These kits are crucial for preventing the spread of diseases in overcrowded and precarious environments where many displaced families seek refuge.
This aid distribution is part of a broader initiative by KSrelief to support Syrian families following the earthquake, ensuring they receive the essential supplies needed for their survival and recovery. KSrelief, the humanitarian arm of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has been at the forefront of relief efforts in the region, working to alleviate suffering and meet the needs of those most affected by conflicts and natural disasters. This recent distribution reflects Saudi Arabia's ongoing commitment to providing humanitarian aid to Syria and highlights the Kingdom's role as a leading force in global humanitarian efforts.
The second phase of this project builds on KSrelief's previous initiatives to provide aid in northern Syria, and the center remains committed to extending its support to other communities in need. With continuous efforts in food security, health, housing, and education, KSrelief plays a crucial role in the recovery process, helping to rebuild the lives of displaced families and offering hope for a better future.
