1.6 million passengers can be accommodated on the Haramain Express Train during the Hajj season.

Over 1.6 million seats will be offered by SAR on more than 3,800 train tours, over 100,000 seats more than those offered last year.

Inaugurated in September 2018, the Haramain Express Train stands to be the greatest railway project in the Middle East. The Kingdom formed it to ensure the security of passengers, pilgrims, and performers of Umrah between the two holy places and Jeddah. This Haramain Express Railway project runs from Madinah to Makkah, which is 453 kilometers, from Makkah to Madinah, which is 449 kilometers with a 3.75 km branch to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
