Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, August 18, 2024.Students from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, both male and female, won a total of 114 medals, including grand and individual awards, for their outstanding performance in the major international competitions for science, engineering, invention, and innovation, "ISEF 2024" and "ITEX 2024." This achievement is a significant national triumph. Their previous achievements in similar events have paved the way for this victory.In addition to adding to the Kingdom's already impressive list of accomplishments, this latest success also serves as evidence of the high level of competition that national talents possess on the international stage. The Human Capability Development Program and Saudi Vision 2030 attribute this achievement to the support and care provided by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.It is also the product of coordinated efforts between educational and private institutions, led by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), Tuwaiq Academy, and Misk Schools. This success is a result of collaboration between these institutions. These institutions have played a significant role in preparing students who will represent the Kingdom at worldwide levels in the fields of science, technology, engineering, invention, and innovation.Saudi students won a total of 27 prizes at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2024) in Los Angeles, United States, which included nine individual prizes and eighteen grand prizes. Among the notable winners are Hamad Al-Husseini and Abeer Al-Yousef, who finished in second place in the energy and chemistry categories, respectively. In a total of six separate categories, Elias Khan, Sulaiman Al-Misnad, Latifa Al-Ghannam, Turki Al-Dalami, Tahani Ahmed, and Laila Zawawi all finished in third place.The Saudi Science and Engineering Team also received ten fourth-place awards. Students such as Nasser Al-Suwayyan, Lana Al-Mazrouei, Yara Al-Qadi, Yara Al-Bakri, Shahad Al-Mutlaq, Asma Al-Qaseer, Areej Al-Qarni, Lana Al-Fheed, Layan Al-Maliki, and Tamara Radi were among those who excelled in a variety of fields, including biomedical engineering and plant sciences.Additionally, students from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia received 87 gold and silver medals, along with significant individual distinctions, for their 48 projects showcased at the International Invention, Innovation, and Technology Exhibition (ITEX) in Malaysia. At the top of the list of award recipients were individuals such as Lamia Al-Otaibi, Muhammad Abu Ghandar, and Al-Sadeem Al-Odaibi were among the top award recipients.Lamia Al-Otaibi, Sadeem Al-Odaibi, Mohammed Abu Ghandar, and other students from the Eastern Province, Makkah, Riyadh, Qassim, Medina, Jazan, and the Royal Commission in Jubail were among the recipients of gold medals. These students came from a variety of educational departments and institutions. Misk Schools and Tuwaiq Academy also received gold medals for their achievements.The ITEX 2024 competition presented silver medals to pupils from the Education Departments of Riyadh, Makkah, Eastern Province, the Royal Commission in Jubail, and Tuwaiq Academy. The ITEX 2024 competition presented individual distinctions to Maryam Al-Muhaish, Lamia Al-Otaibi, Ghad Al-Sheikh, Manal Al-Askari, Sadeem bin Tuwaim, and several other pupils from Tuwaiq Academy.This outstanding portrayal demonstrates the Kingdom's leadership in the fields of science, technology, engineering, invention, and innovation.
