Riyadh, September 28, 2023, One hundred and twenty-seven athletes, both male and female, are diligently preparing to represent the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the upcoming 2023 World Combat Games. This prestigious international sporting event is scheduled to take place from October 20th to the 30th in the capital city of Riyadh.
The stage for these competitions will be the King Saud University Arena, where Saudi athletes are determined to excel and bring home medals that will further bolster the nation's sporting achievements on the global stage.
The Saudi contingent comprises a total of 127 individuals, including 87 male athletes, 40 female athletes, and 56 technical and administrative staff members. They will engage in fierce competition across a diverse array of 12 sports disciplines, encompassing Aikido, Boxing, Fencing, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Sambo, Taekwondo, Wrestling, and Wushu.
The Saudi teams have been rigorously preparing for this monumental event, driven by their aspirations to not only contribute to the Kingdom's sporting legacy but also to satisfy the fervent expectations of their fans, particularly as the games are being hosted on home soil.
