Kabul, Afghanistan, December 31, 2024 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully distributed 132 shelter kits in Afghanistan, benefiting 792 individuals who have been displaced due to various hardships. This initiative is part of a broader shelter project aimed at assisting returnees from Pakistan as well as those affected by the severe flooding that impacted parts of Afghanistan in 2024. The distribution took place in key areas of Afghanistan where communities have been struggling to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of natural disasters and forced migration.
The shelter kits, which include essential items such as tents, blankets, and other necessary materials, are designed to provide temporary relief and a sense of security for families facing difficult living conditions. The project targets those who are most vulnerable, including refugees returning to Afghanistan and internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have been living in makeshift shelters since the floods ravaged their homes earlier in the year.
