Hangzhou, August 28, 2023, The 19th Asian Games (Hangzhou 2023) will take place in Hangzhou, China, from September 23 to October 8, 2023, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia plans to attend. For this important competition, more than 12,000 athletes from 45 Asian nations will compete. 193 competitors, both male and female, who will compete in 19 different games will represent the Kingdom. Football, basketball (5x5), handball, athletics, equestrian, darts, fencing, shooting, rowing, taekwondo, jujitsu, karate, kurash, table tennis, tennis, golf, and e-sports are among the games. Through demanding training camps held both inside and outside the Kingdom, the Saudi athletes have been carefully getting ready for the Asian Games. With 61 medals won since its debut in the 1978 Bangkok Games, Saudi Arabia has a remarkable history at the Asian Games. There are 25 gold, 13 silver, and 23 bronze medals in this collection. Bronze in Beijing in 1990; nine medals in Hiroshima in 1994 (one gold, three silver, and five bronze); nine in Busan in 2002 (seven gold, one silver, and one bronze); 14 in Doha in 2006 (eight gold and six bronze); 13 in Guangzhou in 2010 (five gold, three silver, and five bronze); seven in Incheon in 2014 (three gold, three silver, and one bronze); and one in Jakarta in 2018 (one gold, two silver, and three bronze).
