Derna, February 16, 2025 – In a continued effort to support those affected by natural disasters, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) distributed 2,416 food baskets in the city of Derna, Libya, on Thursday, providing essential aid to 12,804 individuals. This distribution is part of the broader Food Aid Distribution Project aimed at assisting families severely impacted by the catastrophic Storm Daniel, which caused widespread devastation across Libya.
The initiative, conducted in close collaboration with the Libyan Red Crescent Society, ensures that vulnerable communities in Derna and surrounding areas receive critical food supplies to alleviate the hardships they face in the aftermath of the storm. KSrelief’s involvement in this project underscores the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to providing humanitarian support to countries and populations grappling with crisis situations.
