Riyadh, September 30, 2023, The 2023 Riyadh International Book Fair has welcomed the King Salman International Complex for the Arabic Language and the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Center for Planning and Language Policies. Within their pavilion, three distinct sections are prominently featured: the King Salman International Complex for the Arabic Language, the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Center for Planning and Language Policies, and a dedicated corner showcasing the center's publications. This active participation underscores their commitment to engaging with international book fairs.
The complex's presence at the event serves as a platform to showcase a myriad of programs and initiatives that actively support the Arabic language, all encompassed within four key tracks: "Linguistic Planning and Policy," "Linguistic Computing," "Educational Programs," and "Cultural Programs." Furthermore, the King Abdullah Center, closely affiliated with the Complex, takes this opportunity to highlight its mission of preserving, nurturing, and disseminating the richness of the Arabic language.
In a press release to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Abdullah Al-Washmi, the Secretary General of the King Salman Complex, emphasized the Academy's unwavering dedication to fostering knowledge and encouraging writers who make valuable contributions across various fields to promote and uplift the Arabic language. The impressive tally of over 250 publications released by the Academy is a testament to this commitment.
