The Ministry of Interior's inspection campaigns across Saudi Arabia recorded 25,150 violations, arrested individuals for illegal entry and labor infractions, and reiterated strict penalties for violators and facilitators.

Riyadh, March 23, 2025, The Ministry of Interior conducted inspection campaigns across the Kingdom from March 13 to March 19 to enforce residency, labor, and border security laws.


The inspections resulted in the following findings:


A total of 25,150 violations were recorded, including 17,886 related to residency, 4,247 to border security, and 3,017 to labor laws.


Authorities intercepted 1,553 individuals attempting illegal entry into the Kingdom, with 28% being Yemenis, 69% Ethiopians, and 3% from other nationalities, while 63 individuals were caught attempting to exit illegally.


Additionally, 36 people were arrested for transporting, sheltering, or employing violators.


Currently, 38,061 expatriates (35,795 men and 2,266 women) are undergoing procedures for regulatory enforcement.


Among them, 30,528 violators were detained and instructed to contact their embassies for travel documentation, 2,420 were asked to arrange departure bookings, and 12,008 were repatriated.


The Ministry of Interior reiterated that facilitating illegal entry, transport, or sheltering of violators is punishable by up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to SAR 1 million, and potential confiscation of vehicles or properties used in the offense.


The ministry emphasized that such actions constitute major crimes requiring arrest and urged the public to report violations by calling 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern regions, and 999 or 996 in other parts of the Kingdom.
