Singapore, February 13, 2025 – In a demonstration of Saudi Arabia’s continued commitment to international humanitarian support, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has delivered 25 tons of dates as a gift to the Republic of Singapore. This aid, which is part of Saudi Arabia's broader humanitarian outreach, was presented as a token of goodwill and solidarity.
On behalf of KSrelief, Mashael Al-Shamari, the Chargé d'Affaires at the Saudi Embassy in Singapore, officially handed over the aid to Kadir Maideen, the Chief Executive Officer of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS). The handover took place at the headquarters of the council, with a KSrelief team present to oversee the distribution process.
This generous gesture reflects Saudi Arabia's unwavering dedication to supporting its friendly nations, particularly in times of need. The donated dates will be distributed to communities across Singapore, contributing to the welfare of those in need. By providing essential food aid, the Kingdom aims to strengthen its humanitarian ties with Singapore and reaffirm its role as a key partner in global relief efforts.
KSrelief's ongoing initiatives serve as a reminder of Saudi Arabia's efforts to extend assistance worldwide, ensuring that aid reaches those most in need, especially in countries with significant Muslim populations, where dates hold cultural and nutritional significance.
