The eagerly anticipated 2nd edition of the Saudi Games is set to captivate sports enthusiasts from November 25 to December 10 in Riyadh, with the gracious patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
This sporting extravaganza will feature 53 individual and group games, including six Paralympic games, four show games, and 12 youth games. The Minister of Sports, President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and President of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Saudi Games 2023, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, expressed gratitude to King Salman for his unwavering support, signifying the leadership's commitment to sports and athletes.
Prince Abdulaziz emphasized the significant role played by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, in advancing the sports sector. The consecutive organization of the Saudi Games demonstrates the alignment of Saudi Vision 2030 in nurturing Saudi talent and fostering international achievements.
The Saudi Games holds great historical significance, being the largest national sporting event in the Kingdom. Athletes will compete for awards totaling over SAR 200 million, with gold medal winners receiving SAR 1 million, silver medalists SAR 300,000, and bronze medalists SAR 100,000. In the youth category, gold medal winners will receive SAR 100,000, silver medalists SAR 50,000, and bronze medalists SAR 25,000.
