40 gifted students chosen to represent Saudi Arabia at ISEF 2025.

Riyadh, March 22, 2025 – The Ministry of Education and the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) have announced the selection of 40 outstanding students to represent Saudi Arabia at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF 2025), the world’s premier scientific competition for students in the fields of science and engineering.

These students were chosen for the Saudi national science and engineering team based on their performance in the Science and Engineering Fair: Ibdaa 2025, which is part of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity. Their selection highlights their exceptional abilities across various scientific and technological disciplines.

Since 2007, Saudi Arabia, through its participation in ISEF under the leadership of Mawhiba and the Ministry of Education, has earned a total of 160 awards, comprising 110 grand prizes and 50 special awards.

ISEF serves as the most prestigious global platform for pre-university students to compete in research and innovation. Each year, the event attracts over 1,600 students from more than 70 countries. A distinguished panel of international scientists and experts evaluates the projects, offering participants a unique opportunity to present their innovations on a global scale.

Late last year, the event organizers announced an increase in the number of projects representing Saudi Arabia at ISEF 2025, raising the total to 40 projects, up from 35 in the previous edition.
