Gezira State, Sudan — January 25, 2025 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched a significant humanitarian project in Sudan on Wednesday, distributing 40 tons of dates in Wad Madani, located in Gezira State. This initiative is part of a broader effort by KSrelief to deliver a total of 441 tons of dates to some of the most vulnerable communities across Sudan. The project will directly benefit 441,250 individuals in several states, including Kassala, Gedaref, Red Sea, River Nile, Blue Nile, White Nile, Sennar, and Gezira.

The distribution of dates, a highly nutritious food item, is intended to provide relief to families facing economic hardship, especially in regions affected by food insecurity and limited access to essential resources. This project is not just about providing food, but also about enhancing the well-being of the Sudanese people, offering support during difficult times.

The initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s longstanding commitment to humanitarian assistance globally, aiming to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable populations through timely and targeted interventions. KSrelief continues to strengthen its efforts in Sudan and other regions, providing aid through various programs and emphasizing the Kingdom's deep commitment to helping those in need around the world.
