The Injaz Hackathon begins today in Riyadh, with over 400 participants from 90 teams competing to develop AI-driven solutions that enhance efficiency in Saudi Arabia’s public and private sectors.

Riyadh, January 12, 2025 – Today marks the beginning of the highly anticipated Injaz Hackathon, a major event set to bring together over 400 participants from 90 teams across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The hackathon, which spans three days, aims to harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to develop advanced technological solutions that will significantly enhance the readiness, efficiency, and productivity of both the public and private sectors in the Kingdom.

This initiative is a key component of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to foster integration between its public and private sectors. By encouraging the use of AI technologies, the hackathon seeks to address critical challenges that impact both sectors, focusing on improving operational efficiency, streamlining processes, and reducing time and costs. The goal is to create actionable, effective solutions that will directly contribute to accelerating progress, enhancing institutional efficiency, and boosting national productivity.

Throughout the event, participants will be provided with a dynamic and collaborative platform to innovate and design solutions that can optimize workflows, increase productivity, and tackle shared challenges between government entities and private businesses. The hackathon’s emphasis on AI applications aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals of advancing technological innovation and enhancing the country’s position as a global leader in digital transformation.

The Injaz Hackathon is being supervised by several prominent authorities, including the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the Digital Government Authority, and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, among others. These entities are working together to ensure that the event not only fosters innovation but also creates solutions that are practical, scalable, and aligned with the Kingdom’s broader economic and developmental strategies.

As Saudi Arabia continues to prioritize digital transformation and technological advancement, events like the Injaz Hackathon serve as critical platforms for driving change and empowering the next generation of innovators. By leveraging AI to tackle some of the Kingdom's most pressing challenges, the hackathon is set to play a pivotal role in supporting the nation’s progress towards a more efficient, productive, and technologically advanced future.
