Riyadh, August 23, 2023, In a grand display of devotion and reverence, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance is set to host the highly anticipated 43rd edition of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran. Under the esteemed patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, this prestigious event will grace the sacred grounds of the Grand Mosque in Makkah from August 25 to September 6, 2023. The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance and General Supervisor of the Competition, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, has expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for his unwavering support of this competition. This support serves as a testament to the Kingdom's commitment to nurturing and safeguarding the Holy Quran. According to Al-Sheikh, the total value of prizes for this year's competition stands at SAR 4 million. He further stated that the competition committees have diligently completed all necessary preparations to accommodate a total of 166 contestants hailing from 117 countries. These participants can expect to receive top-notch services throughout their involvement in the competition.
