Hong Kong, May 12, 2024, An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 hit Kermadec Islands, New Zealand at 0326 GMT on Sunday, Xinhua quoted the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences as having said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 70.4 km, was initially determined to be at 30.22 degrees south latitude and 177.80 degrees west longitude.
