5th ICMGM with GCMGM and WHO ends in Riyadh successfully

Riyadh, November 06, 2023, The 5th International Conference for Mass Gatherings Medicine (ICMGM), organized by the Global Center for Mass Gatherings Medicine (GCMGM) in collaboration with the World Health Organization, has successfully concluded in Riyadh. Under the theme "Legacy in Global Health Security," the conference drew the participation of numerous local and international specialists and experts in Mass Gatherings Medicine.


During the three-day event, more than 18 specialized scientific sessions took place, featuring the insights of over 120 speakers representing 30 different countries. These sessions delved into various research domains within mass gathering medicine and explored diverse techniques employed in the field. The discussions encompassed vital topics, including health security, global progress, governance, planning, capacity building, and evaluation. Additionally, 14 sub-sessions facilitated conversations on logistics, operations, research, development, and innovation.


The conference also included an exhibition where various health authorities and international health organizations actively participated. They provided educational and awareness services to the attendees, aligning with the Kingdom's health sector transformation system's goals, which aim to contribute to security enhancement through the enablement of the health sector transformation program. This program stands as a crucial element within the Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives.
