Sennar State, March 5, 2025 – In a continued effort to support the people of Sudan, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed 640 food baskets to displaced families in Sennar State on Monday, benefiting a total of 5,965 individuals. This distribution is part of the third phase of the Food Security Support Project, which is being carried out throughout Sudan in 2025, aimed at addressing food insecurity and providing critical relief to those affected by ongoing displacement and conflict.
The food baskets, which contain essential nutritional supplies, are designed to help alleviate the suffering of displaced families who are facing dire conditions due to the humanitarian crisis in Sudan. By providing these food packages, KSrelief aims to enhance food security in the region and ensure that vulnerable populations receive the support they need during this difficult time.
This distribution is part of a broader initiative by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to offer sustained humanitarian assistance to the people of Sudan. Through KSrelief, the Kingdom has been actively involved in providing aid to those in need, emphasizing the importance of relief efforts that prioritize the well-being and dignity of affected individuals.
The Food Security Support Project in Sudan is just one example of KSrelief’s ongoing efforts to assist those impacted by conflict and natural disasters across the globe. As the situation in Sudan continues to unfold, KSrelief remains committed to providing essential aid and support to those in need, working alongside local and international partners to improve the lives of Sudanese citizens and help rebuild the country’s communities.
KSrelief’s efforts reflect the Kingdom’s humanitarian commitment, which is a central pillar of Saudi Arabia’s foreign policy.
