Al Jazirah, Sudan – January 30, 2025 – The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully distributed 700 cartons of dates to vulnerable families in Wad Madani, located in Sudan’s Al Jazirah State. The aid distribution benefited a total of 4,020 individuals, marking a significant step in supporting those in need as part of the date assistance project in Sudan.

This initiative is part of a broader effort by Saudi Arabia to provide ongoing humanitarian aid to countries and communities facing adversity. By offering essential food items such as dates, which are a vital nutritional resource in the region, KSrelief is contributing to alleviating the hardships faced by the most vulnerable populations in Sudan. The distribution of dates, which are rich in nutrients and an important part of the local diet, helps provide relief to families struggling with food insecurity.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s efforts in Sudan are aligned with Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting international humanitarian and relief initiatives. Through its various programs, KSrelief continues to extend aid to those affected by conflict, displacement, and economic challenges across the globe, demonstrating the Kingdom’s role as a leading provider of humanitarian assistance.

This distribution in Al Jazirah is just one example of the Kingdom’s broader strategy to address the immediate needs of those impacted by crises, as well as its long-term commitment to sustainable relief and development efforts in Sudan and other countries. The support provided through this date assistance project aims not only to address short-term hunger but also to help improve the well-being of vulnerable populations, contributing to their resilience in the face of ongoing challenges.
