Dammam, the 21st of June, 2024: During the 1445 AH season, the Dammam Airports Company (DACO) has been able to successfully implement its operating plan to serve pilgrims during the 1445 AH season. A few weeks ago, we launched a project under the name "Honorable Duty" to manage the pilgrims' departing and arriving flights, and this is in addition to providing services to them. The last plane that pilgrims left in is the one that reached King Fahd International Airport early Tuesday morning. The arriving pilgrims thus reached in total more than 8,700 participants, according to the number.
The DACO CEO Engineer Mohammed bin Ali Al-Hassany commented that the project has received the pilgrims, facilitated their journey, and provided the necessary care and assistance. To deliver the entire package of services, including primary health, guidance and religious provisions in several languages, notably the sign language, DACO has set a division in the airport. "The facilities that were into service are halls for registering and delivering luggage, halls designated for Hajj campaigns only, dynamic support for the impaired, and platforms for direct interfacing with the government, health and civil institutions with which DACO collaborates. Additionally, in collaboration with the Eastern Province Municipality, DACO started offering transportation to and from King Fahd International Airport.
