Riyadh, September 08, 2023, According to organizers, the 8th Saudi Optometry Conference will take place in Riyadh from October 26–28, 2023, and will feature 60 speakers from the Kingdom and overseas who will discuss 80 scientific papers. The conference, which is held annually, aims to discuss and develop the most recent developments in the field of clinical optics, in addition to holding specialized workshops and an exhibition of the most recent findings in optics technologies and vision sciences, according to Dr. Waleed Alghamdi, president of the Saudi Society of Optometry and chairman of the conference's organizing committee. The conference, which was planned in conjunction with the American Academy of Optometry, will cover a variety of topics, including diagnosing and treating vision issues in children, treating refractive errors, rehabilitating visually impaired people, and examining and treating corneal diseases.
