A media minister stops by the Interior Ministry's booth at Makkah's Hajj Media Hub

Makkah, on June 12, 2024, Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossary visited the pavilion of the Ministry of Interior at the Hajj Media Hub." The Ministry of Media is organizing the Hajj Media Hub, which will take place in Makkah from June 10 to June 16. Al-Dossary was able to examine artificial intelligence (AI) applications for crowd management at the pavilion. Additionally, he was able to observe the efforts made by the Ministry of Interior throughout the Hajj season to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims at the Two Holy Mosques. He received a detailed explanation of the Makkah Route Initiative, which the Ministry of Interior is implementing for the sixth year as part of the Pilgrim Experience Program, a component of Saudi Vision 2030. Eleven airports in seven different countries will implement the Makkah Route Initiative within the next twelve months. Al-Dossary also learned about the penalties for breaking the Hajj's norms and regulations.


A few examples of these punishments include those who carry out the pilgrimage without a Hajj permit and those who transport such violators in an illegal manner. We also brought to his attention the major services offered by the computerized platform known as "Absher". They also gave him an update on the Unified Security Operations Centers (911), whose responsibility it is to collect intelligence information on humanitarian aids as well as emergencies. The Ministry of Interior will contribute to the Hajj Media Hub to shed lights on the security sectors services including The General Directorate of Civil Defense, National Center for Security Operations, General Administration of Security Patrols.
