Port Moresby, April 13, 2025, A significant 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of New Ireland, Papua New Guinea, earlier today.


 The US Geological Survey reported the seismic event occurred roughly 115 kilometers southeast of the city of Kokopo, at a depth of 72 kilometers.
