Riyadh, August 19, 2024 — The 2024 International Falcon Breeders Auction, hosted by the Saudi Falcons Club at their headquarters in Malham, Riyadh, is attracting falconry enthusiasts from around the globe, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s significant role in the falconry community. This year’s event is a vibrant gathering of experts, breeders, and aficionados, celebrating the art and tradition of falconry.

Among the attendees is Emad, an Italian falconer of Pakistani descent, whose deep passion for falconry has led him to make Saudi Arabia his second home. Emad’s journey into the world of falconry began in 2008, but financial constraints initially halted his ambitions. It wasn’t until 2016 that he was able to realize his dream by establishing a falcon farm in Rome. However, a pivotal moment in his career occurred when he met Barghash Al-Mansouri, a prominent Saudi falconer and client of Emad’s.

Al-Mansouri’s invitation for Emad to visit Saudi Arabia was a turning point. After considering the opportunity, Emad decided to relocate his business to the Kingdom in 2022. He now describes Saudi Arabia as a “falconry paradise,” expressing admiration for the support and resources provided by the Saudi Falcons Club to international falconers. Emad praises the auction as a clear demonstration of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of falconry.

The 20-day International Falcon Breeders Auction has become a major global event, drawing breeders and enthusiasts from over 16 countries. The auction is not only a showcase of the finest falcon breeds but also reinforces Saudi Arabia’s prominent position in the global falconry community. The event underscores the Kingdom’s dedication to advancing and celebrating the ancient practice of falconry, providing a platform for international collaboration and cultural exchange.
