A workshop on media work mechanisms is organized by the General Authority of Media Regulation before of the Hajj season.

- The workshop covered topics such as regulations for media work during the Hajj season, procedures for obtaining licenses for field photography in the Holy Sites, and the process of authorizing transportation of equipment and gadgets for journalists.
The General Authority for Media Regulation and the Media and Marketing Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Makkah organized a workshop called "Mechanics of Media Work in the Hajj Season 1445" in Makkah on May 28, 2024.

On Makkah, held on May 28, 2024, was a workshop with the title "Mechanics of Media Work in the Hajj Season 1445". Details of this training are being undertaken by the General Authority for Media Regulation as well as the Media and Marketing Committee in Chamber of Commerce and in Makkah.



Representatives from a wide range of organizations that are involved in the production of audiovisual media, including television and radio stations, advertising agencies, and printing enterprises, were present at the workshop.



The session covered a variety of issues, including the restrictions that govern media work during the Hajj season, the procedures that must be followed in order to secure licenses for field photography in the Holy Sites, and the process that must be followed in order to make it possible for journalists to move their equipment and gadgets.



Makkah, May 28, 2024. This workshop had been put together by the General Authority for Media Regulation in collaboration with the Media and Marketing Committee within the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Makkah. Mechanics of Media Work in the Hajj Season 1445 was the name of the class taken.


In attendance were representatives of very diverse enterprises, such as those in the audiovisual media production sector, television and radio stations, advertising agencies, and printing companies, among others. The workshop included discussions on the applications, procedures, and regulations that govern media work during the Hajj season, the conditions and controls that govern the issuance of licenses for field photography in the Holy Sites, the mechanism for issuing these licenses through the Media Platform, and the mechanism for issuing field photography permits for both local and international media.


In addition, the session brought attention to the advantages of licenses that make it easier to transfer devices and equipment across international ports, and it also highlighted the fact that journalists from the media are required to accompany these permits. In the course of the Hajj season, it covered the process of constructing temporary studios within the Holy Sites as well as the procedure for granting permission for direct transit vehicles to enter the Holy Sites.
