The Second Mango Festival is taking place in Al-Makhwah Governorate with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture taking the hosting role as an expression of partnership. The festival is being participated in by thirty farmers, Government, NGOs and community based organisations as well as productive families from Al-Makhwah market. These are all interested in mangoes and care for the community. The participants are not passive observers but are there, and they are engaging.
They have the opportunity to not only select the best mangoes but also participate in agricultural workshops and cultural competitions. Farmers in private pavilions may showcase various types of mangoes for them to learn about.
