Paramaribo, September 28, 2023, During his official visit to Suriname, Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member, and Climate Affairs Envoy, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, met with the President of the Republic of Suriname, Chan Santokhi, in Paramaribo. Al-Jubeir conveyed warm regards from Saudi Arabia's leaders, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to the people and government of Suriname, expressing their hopes for the nation's ongoing progress and prosperity.
The discussions between the two parties encompassed potential avenues for cooperation, matters of mutual interest on regional and global scales, and strategies for strengthening collaboration across various sectors. The meeting was graced by the presence of Ambassador Khalid bin Musaed Al-Anqari, Director General of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Office, and Suriname's Foreign Minister, Albert R. Ramdin.
