After negotiations to prolong Bayern Munich's tenure broke down, coach Thomas Tuchel announced his departure.

MUNICH: Thomas Tuchel has stated that he will continue to leave Bayern Munich, despite the fact that negotiations to extend his stay have failed."Bayern announced in February that Tuchel would be leaving the club at the end of the current season. On Friday, however, the coach stated that he had discussions with the club about a "180-degree turn" that would have resulted in him remaining with the club."We found no agreement on further cooperation, so the agreement from February remains in force," he explained to reporters. In the three months since the announcement of Tuchel's resignation, Bayern has made unsuccessful attempts to sign a number of high-profile successors.Following Bayer Leverkusen's victory over Bayern in the Bundesliga, Xabi Alonso will continue to play for the club. Julian Nagelsmann, who was Tuchel's predecessor, has been able to secure a contract extension with the German national team, while Ralf Rangnick will continue to play for Austria.Tuchel's team received praise for making it to the Champions League semifinals before narrowly losing to Real Madrid. However, Bayer Leverkusen's victory in the Bundesliga championship match has left Bayern without a trophy this season for the first time since 2012.Bayern fans also submitted a petition urging the team to keep Tuchel.According to the coach, the club contacted him in an effort to persuade him to stay with the team after he had such successful performances in Europe."Above all, the feedback after Real Madrid over this last week was the basis to think again about the 180-degree turn, but we didn't reach any agreement," he explained to reporters. "I'm not interested in getting into the specific points and reasoning behind them." We won't reveal that secret for the time being.Uli Hoeness, the club's honorary president, offended Tuchel by saying that the coach "doesn't think he can improve" the young talents. The words used by Hoeness caused conflict between the two parties.Tuchel commented at the time that Hoeness' statements were "so far removed from reality" and continued by saying: "On the one hand, it insults my honor as a coach, because I think we've shown as a coaching team for the last 15 years that young players, especially from the academy, always, always, always have a place with us in training, and that they have a place on the field with their performances."In the final match of Tuchel's tenure with Bayern, which will take place on Saturday at Hoffenheim, the team will be competing for second place in the Bundesliga. He has had very little access to his first-choice team throughout this season because of the enormous injury list, which is the longest it has ever been.Harry Kane, a striker, is reportedly receiving treatment for a back ailment. Leroy Sané, Kim Min-jae, Kingsley Coman, Raphael Guerreiro, and Jamal Musiala have also sustained injuries. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is absent from the team due to the virus, according to Tuchel. Tuchel has informed the right-back, Sacha Boey, that he will be taking a personal leave.A draw with Hoffenheim, who is now in seventh position and is attempting to qualify for European competition, should be sufficient for Bayern to claim second place, given that they have a two-point lead over Stuttgart, which is currently in third place, and a superior goal difference. The Borussia Moenchengladbach team is playing at Stuttgart.
