Al-Ahli and Al-Ettifaq ended in a goalless draw in the Saudi League

JEDDAH — In a match hosted at Jeddah's Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium, Al-Ahli and Al-Ettifaq played out a goalless draw during the eighth round of the Saudi League. This result halted Al-Ahli's previous winning streak and thwarted Al-Ettifaq's aspirations for victory.

Despite dominating possession throughout the game, Al-Ahli struggled to breach Al-Ettifaq's resolute defense, which was masterminded by English coach Steven Gerrard. The encounter ultimately concluded in a frustrating 0-0 draw.

In the first half, Al-Ahli had a goal disallowed due to an offside call against Brazilian forward Firmino.

Following this draw, Al-Ettifaq maintained their fifth-place position on the league table with a total of 17 points, while Al-Ahli secured the sixth spot with 16 points.

In another match held in Dammam, Damak secured their first victory of the season by defeating Al-Khaleej with a score of 2-0. This triumph came after Damak had previously endured four draws and three losses, earning them three valuable points. The victory propelled Damak to the fifteenth position in the standings, accumulating a total of seven points. Meanwhile, Al-Khaleej's struggle for a win persisted, and their points tally remained stagnant at eight.

Captain Farouk Shafii provided Damak with the lead just before the close of the first half, and Nkoudou further extended their advantage with a second goal in the 56th minute. Damak effectively maintained their lead until the match's final moments.
