Dubai, February 13, 2024, Dr. Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Al-Anqari, President of the General Court of Audit, took part in a dialogue session titled "Shared Responsibility in Protecting Public Resources" on Tuesday. The session, held as part of the World Government Summit in Dubai from February 12 to 14, saw the participation of heads of supreme institutions of public financial auditing and accounting from various countries, along with representatives of relevant international organizations.
Dr. Al-Anqari delved into the pivotal role played by supreme audit institutions in safeguarding public funds and protecting public resources, while also discussing best practices to bolster transparency and accountability values within these institutions. Reflecting on the 100-year journey of the General Court of Audit, he highlighted its longstanding commitment to preserving public funds since its establishment, underscoring the institution's current phase characterized by empowerment and unwavering support from the leadership.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Anqari expressed determination to continue advancing on this trajectory, aiming to achieve even greater milestones in the future.
