Makkah, June 13, 2024." The meeting between Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Alsheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, and Salama Dawoud, President of Al-Azhar University, took place today in Mishar Mina. Additionally, Al Alsheikh serves as the Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Hajj, Umrah, and Visitation Works that are carried out by the Ministry. The Ministry of the Two Holy Mosques has provided accommodations for Dawoud and his delegation as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visitation.
During the course of the discussion, the minister noted that the Saudi government devotes all of its resources to providing assistance to Hajj pilgrims. This also means that the government should ensure that all comfort zones for its people in terms of health care are provided for and maintained at all times. Besides, he stressed that leadership never tires of initiating big programs aimed at smoothing Hajj pilgrimage and offering complete services to the numerous pilgrims so as to prepare them for a safe and holy environment.
In order to demonstrate that the leadership is dedicated to assisting pilgrims, he made this statement. This year, Dawoud had the opportunity to participate in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Guests Program, which allowed him to undertake Hajj. I will first and foremost extend my heartfelt thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for affording me this opportunity. In his speech, he commended the Two Holy Mosques and other sacred places for developing rapidly to provide pilgrims with all they need including comfort, ease and convenience. He further went ahead to add that he was pleased with the progress made by these places.
