Al-Ettifaq wins fourth game in a row in Saudi Professional League

ABHA — Al-Ettifaq kept up its impressive play in the Saudi Professional League, winning its fourth game in a row by defeating Abha 3-1 in the championship's sixth round.

Al-Ettifaq, also known as the Knights of Al-Dahna'a, has a total of 13 points at this point and is still in first place in the league rankings. Abha, on the other hand, kept performing poorly, staying at 6 points.

Forward In the 58th minute, Moussa Dembélé scored the game's first goal, causing the referee to check with the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) before certifying the score.

The club's coaching staff, which included Englishman Steven Gerrard, exulted wildly as a result.

In the 75th minute, Swedish international Robin Quaison scored the second goal with a strong effort from outside the penalty area.

Then Demarai Gray, who was participating in his first game with the team, profited from a cross by Hamed Al-Ghamdi. In the 82nd minute, Al-Ghamdi rose to the occasion by putting the ball into Abha's goal.

With a penalty kick that Ekambi skillfully executed and sent past Brazilian goalie Paulo Victor of Al-Ettifaq in the final seconds of the game, Abha was able to cut the lead.

Georginio Wijnaldum, a midfielder for the Netherlands, played for Al-Ettifaq for the first time during the game.
