Al-Hilal rises to second in Saudi Professional League rankings

RIYADH — In the Saudi Professional League rankings, Al-Hilal has temporarily moved up to second place with a decisive 2-0 victory over Al-Ettifaq on Monday during the competition's fourth round. Al-Hilal scored two goals, both in the opening period, to complete the victory. Malcom de Oliveira, a Brazilian footballer, scored the opening goal in the 24th minute, and Salem Al-Dawsari added another in the 41st.

With this victory, Al-Hilal's point total rose to ten, moving them momentarily into second place in the standings. Al-Ettifaq, on the other hand, is in fifth place with a total of seven points.

Roberto Mancini, the Saudi Arabian national football team's new head coach, attended the game.

In another game played at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, Al-Raed defeated Al-Riyadh by a score of 3-0.

Mohamed Fouzair scored two goals, the first of which came in the 18th and the second in the 45th minutes, respectively. In the 68th minute, Amir Sayoud of Algeria added a third goal.

Al-Raed's first victory of the year allowed them to climb from the bottom of the standings to position thirteen, thanks to this victory.

Al-Riyadh, meanwhile, has four points, which puts them in ninth place.
