JEDDAH — In an exciting match held at Jeddah's Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium, Al-Ittihad and Al-Hazem played to a thrilling 2-2 draw during the eleventh round of the 2023-2024 Saudi Professional League season.
French player Karim Benzema netted the opening goal for Al-Ittihad in the 26th minute, but Al-Hazem responded with a goal by Mohammed Al-Thani in the 63rd minute to level the score.
Hassan Kadish of Al-Ittihad restored the lead with a goal in the 81st minute, courtesy of an assist from Benzema. However, Al-Hazem quickly equalized in the 86th minute with a goal from Fayez Suleimani.
This result places Al-Ittihad in the fifth position in the league standings with 21 points, while Al-Hazem secures the seventeenth position with 7 points.
