Al-Ittihad maintains perfect record in Saudi Professional League, defeating Al-Wahda 3-0.

MAKKAH — Al-Ittihad, the defending champions, defeated Al-Wahda 3-0 on Monday in the fourth round of the Saudi Professional League to maintain their perfect record.

Karim Benzema's injury forced him off the field before the end of the first half, which caused an unexpected change in the game.

Al-Ittihad and Al-Wehda played to a scoreless draw in the first half; therefore, Al-Ittihad had to wait until the second half to earn their triumph.

Al-Ittihad's Brazilian striker Romarinho scored the game's first goal in the 63rd minute, and Portuguese winger Jota added a second in the 67th.

In the 73rd minute, a third goal by Igor Coronado clinched the outcome.

Al-Ittihad gained their fourth straight victory with this triumph, giving them a total of 12 points to lead the league standings.

Al-Wehda, on the other hand, is now sixth in the standings with six points.
