MAKKAH — Al Ittihad emerged victorious against Sepahan FC in a gripping AFC Champions League 2023/24 match at King Abdulaziz Stadium, securing their position at the top of Group C with a 2-1 scoreline. The win earned Al Ittihad 15 points in the group stage, while Sepahan finished in second place, trailing by five points.
The home team took an early lead in the 15th minute when Saleh Al Amri scored a sensational free-kick from the right side of the box. Despite Sepahan's attempts, especially from Milad Zakipour, Al Ittihad comfortably dealt with their threats in the first half.
