Al-Jasser inspects facilities at King Abdulaziz Int'l Airport, Jeddah

Jeddah, March 21, 2024, Minister of Transport and Logistics, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, conducted a visit to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah today, accompanied by senior officials from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and Airports Holding Company. The purpose of the visit was to assess the facilities and services provided by the airport, covering its three terminals: Terminal 1, the North Terminal, and the newly inaugurated Hajj and Umrah Terminal Complex.

This visit forms part of the government's ongoing endeavors to enhance the travel experience for passengers and ensure seamless operations at the airport during the holy month of Ramadan. Minister Al-Jasser's inspection aimed to ascertain that the airport is delivering improved services to passengers while overseeing the overall workflow and operational efficiency.

Following the tour of King Abdulaziz International Airport, Minister Al-Jasser joined airport staff for an Iftar meal, expressing appreciation for their hard work and dedication. He emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts to enhance the travel experience for all passengers, aligning with the government's overarching strategy in this regard.

Minister Al-Jasser commended the efforts of all workers in the airport sector, acknowledging the significant growth in passenger traffic witnessed during Ramadan. He highlighted the airport's impressive operational figures, with over 5.4 million passengers arriving and departing in the past month, underscoring the airport's pivotal role as a key transportation hub.
