Al-Jasser launches upgraded 'Logisti 2' platform at LEAP24 conference

Riyadh, March 05, 2024, The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, unveiled the enhanced iteration of the 'Logisti 2' platform during the third installment of the 'LEAP24' conference and exhibition. This platform is designed to offer an extensive array of over 140 logistical services, aiming to streamline investors' experiences by facilitating access to logistical services through a unified window. The overarching goals include bolstering the operational environment, expediting business processes, and implementing international best practices within the logistics services sector.

In addition to the platform launch, Al-Jasser inaugurated the Ports Community System (PCS) as part of the integrated logistics window system 'Logisti'. This initiative will provide a comprehensive suite of more than 250 electronic services across the Kingdom's ports. Al-Jasser emphasized that these advancements will significantly augment operational efficiency within Saudi ports, enhancing their pivotal role on the global maritime stage. These efforts are aligned with the objectives outlined in the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services, further solidifying the Kingdom's position as a preeminent global logistics hub, in accordance with Vision 2030.

Furthermore, the minister presided over the signing of five pivotal agreements. Notably, the first agreement between the Airports Holding Company and Saudi company Devoteam focuses on digital transformation and innovation to meet future goals. Similarly, the four agreements involving Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) aim to leverage cutting-edge technologies to enhance operational efficiency and safety across railway lines. These agreements span collaborations with industry leaders such as Saudi Technology and Security Comprehensive Control Company (Tahakom), Talgani Car Rental Company, Accenture, and TAWAL Company, each targeting specific areas of improvement within SAR's operations.

The LEAP conference, now in its third edition, serves as a platform to explore the trajectory of technology and artificial intelligence, showcasing the latest innovations and reinforcing the Kingdom's stature as a nucleus for technology and innovation. With the participation of over 1,000 international and local technology firms and more than 1,000 experts and speakers representing 180 countries, the conference underscores the Kingdom's commitment to fostering technological advancement and attracting investment in the technology sector within the region.
