Sakaka, March 24, 2024, The Al-Jouf Region, situated in the northwestern expanse of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is rich with a tapestry of archaeological wonders, heritage edifices, and venerable mosques, among which stands the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque in Dumat Al-Jandal Governorate.

Constructed in 1373 Hijri during the reign of King Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, this historic mosque underwent meticulous restoration efforts in 1416 Hijri under the auspices of King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and once more in 1432 Hijri during the reign of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. These restoration endeavors underscore the unwavering commitment of the Saudi leadership to preserve this cultural landmark.

Spanning an impressive area of 2,000 square meters, the mosque offers accommodation for up to 1,600 worshippers, complemented by a sprawling parking space covering 2,500 square meters. Situated in the heart of Dumat Al-Jandal Governorate, proximate to the renowned Marid Castle, Al-Jouf Regional Museum, and bustling vegetable and meat markets, the mosque serves as a focal point for visitors and residents alike.

During Ramadan and Friday prayers, the mosque buzzes with fervent worshippers, while also serving as a hub for Quranic memorization classes and religious teachings. Additionally, the holy month sees the congregation come together for iftar banquets, fostering a profound sense of communal solidarity among the residents of the governorate.
