Al-Khateeb thanks King Salman and Crown Prince for tourism support

Riyadh, February 13, 2024, The Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Tourism Authority, Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb, conveyed his appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for their steadfast support of the Saudi tourism sector.

Al-Khateeb's remarks came in response to the cabinet's meeting today, during which the Saudi Tourism Authority Regulation was endorsed. He underscored that the remarkable progress witnessed by the Saudi Tourism Authority is a direct outcome of the unwavering commitment of the Saudi leadership to organizing and bolstering the tourism sector as a whole, with particular attention to the authority.

The minister highlighted that this support has empowered the authority to assume a pivotal role in positioning Saudi Arabia as a premier tourist destination on regional and global platforms. He emphasized that the leadership's backing has facilitated the attraction of visitors from around the world, the enhancement of tourism offerings, the empowerment of the private tourism sector, and active participation in key local and international tourism conferences and events.

Al-Khateeb emphasized that this alignment with the objectives outlined in Vision 2030 marks a significant milestone for the tourism sector in Saudi Arabia.
