Jeddah, September 1, 2024 – Al-Mawaddah Society for Family Development has proudly announced its membership in the prestigious World Family Organization (WFO), marking a historic achievement for the non-profit sector in Saudi Arabia. With unanimous approval from the society’s board of directors, Al-Mawaddah becomes the first Saudi society to join the WFO since its founding in 1947. This development follows the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's own membership in the organization, which was established 50 years ago, further emphasizing the country’s dedication to family development on the global stage.
This accomplishment aligns with the strategic goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which emphasizes the role of the family as a cornerstone of sustainable development and community welfare. The Al-Mawaddah Society's membership in the WFO highlights the Kingdom's broader initiative to empower the non-profit sector as a key driver of community development and social progress.
Eng. Faisal Al-Samanoudi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Mawaddah, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, as well as the National Center for Non-Profit Sector, for their consistent and invaluable support. He credited these government entities for playing a crucial role in enabling the society to join the WFO, an achievement that reflects the Kingdom’s vision for expanding the impact and reach of its non-profit organizations on both national and international levels.
