Al-Nassr coach Luis Castro praised team's dominant performance against Al-Shabab

RIYADH — Al-Nassr's Portuguese coach, Luis Castro, expressed his happiness with the team's dominant performance against Al-Shabab in a news conference that lasted almost 35 minutes. He claimed that their victory was completely deserving given their dominance of the game. Castro emphasized the team's impressive improvement from one game to the next while also praising the ardent supporters' apparent confidence, attendance, and engagement. Castro emphasized his main goal and added, "I'm thrilled to collaborate with this outstanding worldwide collective, and my foremost desire is to offer joy to everyone. Even though we haven't yet reached the level of harmony we seek, it is clear that we are constantly improving. He asked, "Why did the referee negate Cristiano's goal today? in reference to a goal that was disallowed. I've seen analogous incidents in the Saudi League where the pressure was even stronger than what we saw today, but the goal was still recognized... Although I won't mention the particular game, everyone saw it. He clarified his position by saying that he values a player's performance during training more than player selection for the national team or other relevant issues. In response to a question on important team decisions, Castro stated, "Abdulilah Al-Amri's absence is due to my decision, and all such decisions fall under my purview." He posed the following query in response to the flurry of stories about Al-Nassr: "Why do rumors circulate about Al-Nassr?" Has there ever been a time when I addressed Talisca's departure? Castro asked strongly, "Has there ever been a moment when I confirmed the player's steadfast commitment to the team? Talisca is staying, and I have sole discretion in the matter. He expressed satisfaction with Al-Nassr's present lineup and added that he would not hesitate to make the necessary changes if the club's best interests called for it. Castro concluded by praising Konan for his defense prowess and Alex Telles for his offensive prowess, particularly on set pieces. The team's makeup will be finalized in the following days, he said, adding that all decisions will be made with Al-Nassr's best interests in mind.
