RIYADH — In a dominating performance, Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia secured a resounding 6-0 victory against Inter Miami in the Riyadh Season Cup held at the Kingdom Arena on Thursday.
Despite the absence of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, who was not match-fit, and limited participation from Argentine star Lionel Messi in the final minutes, Al Nassr showcased exceptional prowess throughout the match.
Al Nassr took the lead early on, with Otavio scoring in the third minute, followed by Talisca adding the second goal in the tenth minute. Aymeric Laporte extended the lead with a remarkable long-range shot, netting the third goal in the 12th minute.
Talisca continued his impressive performance, securing his second goal and the team's fourth in the 51st minute through a penalty kick. Mohamed Maran contributed the fifth goal in the 68th minute, and Talisca completed the team's impressive victory with a goal in the 73rd minute.
Inter Miami, having previously lost their initial match against Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia 3-4, faced another challenging defeat, while Al Nassr secured their first three points in the tournament. Al Nassr is now set to face Al Hilal in the final match of the competition next Thursday.
