Al Nassr triumphs 4-3 against Al Duhail in AFC Champions League

RIYADH — In an electrifying contest at Al Awwal Park, Al Nassr continued their impeccable performance in Group E of the AFC Champions League 2023-24 by edging out Al Duhail 4-3 in a thrilling, goal-filled spectacle.

The match witnessed standout performances from Anderson Talisca, Sadio Mane, and Cristiano Ronaldo, with their efforts leading Al Nassr to a remarkable third consecutive victory.

Al Nassr's star player, Anderson Talisca, set the tone early in the game with a blistering run and a left-footed strike that sent a clear message to Al Duhail within just three minutes.

Although Al Duhail initially faced pressure, they managed to settle into the game, with Ismaeel Mohammed and Michael Olunga posing challenges to Al Nassr's defense.

Talisca opened the scoring with a clinical finish, thanks to Ronaldo's clever flick, marking his ninth goal in the last seven matches.

The dominance of Al Nassr persisted as Sadio Mane extended their lead, and Cristiano Ronaldo showcased his prowess with a magnificent long-range strike.

Despite Al Duhail's resilient efforts, narrowing the gap with goals from Mohammad and Almoez Ali, Ronaldo's left-footed volley appeared to secure the victory for Al Nassr. In the dying moments of the game, Michael Olunga netted a brace for Al Duhail, but it wasn't enough, and time eventually ran out, sealing all three points for Al Nassr.

This enthralling encounter now sets the stage for a rematch on November 7 in Qatar, as both teams prepare for another intense battle in the AFC Champions League.
