Riyadh, March 23, 2025 – The health system has been actively supporting Umrah performers during Ramadan, providing over 40,000 health services in the first half of the month to ensure their health and safety, enhancing their spiritual experience. This aligns with the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030. Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel conducted field inspections in Makkah and Madinah to assess the healthcare facilities. Services included over 1,900 inpatient admissions, 28,000 emergency cases, 200 surgeries, 80 cardiac catheterizations, and 1,600 dialysis sessions. The system improved coordination between public and private sectors and strengthened response times around the Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque. The Saudi Red Crescent played a key role in emergency cases, and the Ministry continues its efforts to ensure high-quality healthcare services.
